Elizabeth Overview
Elizabeth is a support-focused character in Seven Deadly Sins: Origin with a unique hybrid role. While most supports in gacha RPGs sit on the backline and heal, Elizabeth can flex between defensive support and surprising offensive contribution depending on which weapon you equip. Netmarble clearly considers her a flagship character — the "50 Elizabeths in L.A." real-world launch event put her front and center — and her kit rewards players who understand how to position her correctly in team compositions.
Elizabeth's core identity revolves around healing, shielding, and buff uptime. She keeps your team alive through sustained encounters like Elite Bosses and Challenge Bosses where raw DPS alone will not carry you.
Best Weapon Choices
In SDS Origin, every character plays differently depending on their equipped weapon. Elizabeth is no exception — her tier placement shifts dramatically based on this choice.
Sword & Shield (S Tier — Recommended)
Sword & Shield is Elizabeth's strongest weapon option. This loadout leans into her defensive support identity:
- Grants access to her strongest shielding and healing skills
- Provides natural tankiness through shield block mechanics
- Enables consistent buff uptime since you spend less time dodging
- Synergizes with her passive that scales healing output off max HP
If you are building Elizabeth for endgame boss content — especially Challenge Bosses and Elite Bosses that demand sustained survivability — Sword & Shield is the clear pick.
Dual Swords (A Tier — Offensive Alternative)
Dual Swords Elizabeth trades some support potency for faster attack speed and better personal damage:
- Higher combo generation for elemental reaction triggers
- Better for overworld exploration and story content where healing is less critical
- Still retains core healing skills, just at reduced potency compared to S&S
- Fun to play but suboptimal for difficult co-op content
Staff / Wand (B Tier — Niche)
Staff gives Elizabeth ranged capabilities and amplified skill damage, but her base attack multipliers are not designed for a pure caster role. Other characters like Elaine (S Tier with Staff) or King (S Tier with Grimoire/Staff) fill this niche far better. Only use Staff Elizabeth if you have no other magic DPS options.
Skill Priority
Elizabeth's skill kit includes healing, shielding, and team-wide buffs. When upgrading skills, prioritize in this order:
- Team Heal — Your bread and butter. Scales off max HP, heals all party members in range. Max this first.
- Barrier / Shield Skill — Absorbs a flat amount of damage for allies. Critical for boss fights where unavoidable AoE hits would otherwise one-shot squishier teammates.
- Attack Buff — Grants a team-wide ATK increase for a duration. Significant DPS uplift for your carries (Meliodas, Diane, Jericho).
- Personal Combat Skills — Lowest priority. Elizabeth's personal damage is not why she is on your team.
Gear and Stat Priorities
Main Stats to Target
- HP% on armor pieces — directly increases healing output via her HP-scaling passive
- DEF% as secondary — keeps Elizabeth alive so she can keep healing
- Skill Cooldown Reduction — more frequent heals and buffs mean more team uptime
Accessory Priority
- Healing Bonus accessories if available
- HP flat/percentage accessories as fallback
- Avoid ATK-focused accessories unless running Dual Swords for overworld
Best Team Compositions
Premium Team (SSR Heavy)
| Slot | Character | Weapon | Role | |------|-----------|--------|------| | Main DPS | Meliodas | Axe or Dual Swords | S-Tier damage dealer, benefits heavily from Elizabeth's ATK buff | | Sub DPS | Jericho | Lance | S-Tier burst damage, covers windows when Meliodas is on cooldown | | Support | Elizabeth | Sword & Shield | Healing, shields, ATK buff | | Flex | King | Grimoire | Additional support/CC, or swap for elemental advantage |
This is the strongest general-purpose team. Meliodas and Jericho both sit in S Tier and their damage output combined with Elizabeth's sustain creates a team that can clear all current content.
F2P Friendly Team
| Slot | Character | Weapon | Role | |------|-----------|--------|------| | Main DPS | Tristan | Dual Swords | Free from starter gacha, S-Tier with Dual Swords | | Sub DPS | Guila | Lance or Rapier | Free from Grand Launch sign-in event, A-Tier | | Support | Elizabeth | Sword & Shield | Healing and buffs | | Flex | Tioreh | Wand | Free from pre-registration, A-Tier support |
All four characters in this team are obtainable without spending. Tristan with Dual Swords is genuinely S Tier according to current tier lists, so this team punches well above its price tag. Slater (free from tutorial gacha) can substitute into the flex slot if you need a tankier frontline.
Boss-Specific Adjustments
When fighting bosses, swap your flex slot based on elemental weakness:
- Red Demon (weak to Earth) — Bring Diane with Axe. Do NOT use fire characters — fire gives Red Demon an ATK buff.
- Grey Demon (weak to Lightning) — King with Grimoire triggers Shocked status for knockdown openings.
- Banakro (weak to Lightning) — Same Lightning priority; watch for water projectile phase below 25% HP.
- Corrupted Guardian Golem (weak to Fire) — Meliodas fire build or Guila works here.
- Scorpy Beast (weak to Cold/Ice) — Elaine or any Ice-element character.
Elizabeth stays in the team regardless of boss — her healing and shields are universally valuable.
Elizabeth vs Other Supports
How does Elizabeth compare to the other support options?
- King (Grimoire/Staff) — King offers CC and elemental reactions but less raw healing. For pure sustain, Elizabeth wins. For damage contribution, King wins.
- Tioreh (Wand) — Tioreh is free and decent but lacks Elizabeth's shield utility. Use Tioreh if you do not have Elizabeth built yet.
- Elaine (Staff) — Elaine is more of a DPS/support hybrid. She does not replace Elizabeth's dedicated healer role.
In difficult co-op content (4-player Elite Boss runs requiring 5 Keys for rewards), Elizabeth with Sword & Shield is the most reliable support pick in the current meta.
Quick Build Summary
| Category | Recommendation | |----------|---------------| | Best Weapon | Sword & Shield | | Alt Weapon | Dual Swords (overworld/story) | | Main Stat | HP% > DEF% > Skill CDR | | Accessory | Healing Bonus or HP% | | Skill Priority | Team Heal > Barrier > ATK Buff > Personal | | Best Team | Meliodas (Axe) + Jericho (Lance) + Elizabeth (S&S) + King (Grimoire) | | F2P Team | Tristan (Dual Swords) + Guila (Lance) + Elizabeth (S&S) + Tioreh (Wand) |
Elizabeth may not top the DPS charts, but in a game where boss fights punish teams that cannot sustain through long encounters, she is one of the most valuable characters you can invest in. Build her with HP, equip Sword & Shield, and keep your team standing.
